Edinburgh Oasis gig to see 8,000 extra tickets go on sale in coming days
Those who missed out on Edinburgh Oasis tickets are in luck, as 8,000 are due to go on sale in the coming days.
The highly anticipated reunion tour will hit Murrayfield Stadium this summer and the council has given the green light to increase the stadium's capacity.
The warring Gallagher brothers got over their brotherly spat in order to cash in on one of the biggest comeback tours in British music history - performing three sold out shows in August in the capital as well as elsewhere in the UK, the Record reports.
On Monday, an application to Edinburgh City Council’s licensing board to increase Murrayfield’s capacity from 67,130 to 69,990 was approved - much to the delight of Scots Oasis fans.
Councillor Louise Young, licensing board convener, said: “An application to increase the capacity at Murrayfield for the upcoming Oasis concerts was approved by the Licensing Board on June 23.

“This decision followed consultation with the police and public safety officers.”
Earlier this week the Gallagher brothers released a statement about releasing more tickets. They penned: "As the shows are getting closer, Oasis promoters may be able to release a very limited number of additional tickets for sale once final sight lines are checked and the production is fine tuned."
It continued: "These final production releases will happen over the coming day."
Fans who are members of Oasismynet have been urged to keep an eye on their inboxes for updates. "If you are an Oasismynet member, keep an eye on your inbox for an email from your regular Oasismynet or Ticketmaster correspondence address," the message added.
"Please double check the email is from the correct account before following links or sharing any purchase information."
Fans were quick to take to the comments to voice their opinion on the limited ticket release, with mixed reviews. One fan simply stated: "Shaking in my boots."
As another expressed their excitement: "I bagged some for Wembley in the extra release, happy days."
The brothers are set to play in various cities across the UK - Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh - before taking the tour internationally. However, tickets for the UK dates have been a topic of conversation for months with the various problems fans had getting their hands on them.

Some fans previously claimed they were targeted by scammers as they attempted to find tickets for the gigs. The band have warned fans over scams, and told to be selective about where they buy their tickets to make sure they are legit.
Many of the tickets offered at the moment have been from various online websites that aren't genuine, from unverified brands and individual scammers who are selling fake tickets on social media.
