BBC Strictly star Oti Mabuse's marriage confession as mum tells her 'it doesn't count'
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse has opened up about marrying husband Marius Lepure - and admits her mum wasn't happy about it.
Oti was appearing on the Loose Women panel on Thursday when they were discusiing whether or not long engagements worked, which led to her sharing her wedding details.
The former Strictly professional dancer, who went on to become a judge on ITV's Dancing On Ice, married fellow dancer Marius in a low-key ceremony in Denmark that was just attended by the two of them and they then went straight to a dance competition after tying the knot.
But Oti, who is now a mum to a one-year-old daughter, admitted that her mum wasn't happy and they ended up having a second wedding with 500 guests - and they only knew four of them.

She said after sharing the news of her marriage, her mum responded "it doesn't count! We weren't there, it was just the two of you. I didn't have my hat, my dress" and promptly went about planning another wedding.
Oti, who was a contestant on last year's I'm a Celebrity, continued: "She planned all our wedding, she had a theme, she was like 'I need a purple wedding' so our wedding was white and purple.
"She planned everything. The only thing my husband and I had to do was rock up with our own dresses.
"The wedding had 500 people, we only knew four of them. It was my sisters and his brothers, that's all the people we knew - and the rest, it was my mother's wedding."

He admission comes as the countdown continues to the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing with rumours continuing to swirl who will be competing this year.
But the judging panel and the hosts have now been confirmed - and there are no changes.
The BBC Strictly Come Dancing account has revealed that the four judges will be: Anton Du Beke, Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Oti's sister Motsi Mabuse.
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, who were both recently honoured ion the King's birthday honours, will be resuming their hosting duties.
The BBC said: “We’ve been limbering-up and practicing our curtseys, ready for the new series of Strictly with our amazing judging panel, Shirley, Anton, Motsi and Craig and our incredible MBE’s Tess and Claudia - Congratulations on your FAB-U-LOUS achievement!”
Strictly Come Dancing returns to the BBC this autumn and is currently available on BBC iPlayer
